I don't know how well this will work, but I just wanted to tell everyone hi. I moved here (Maastricht) a little over a year ago and have been trying to learn Dutch this whole time. Many people here speak English so well that it almost hinders me in learning, I LOVE THIS COUNTRY!
I moved here on a partner visa which, again, is fantastic! The major drawback I have here is without Dutch language skills I cannot find a job to save my life, but that's another story. Naturally without a job i needed to kick up my hobby so I started spawning my discus. I first started with a large Turq pair and they did well. I now have a bunch of their young I've been selling on Maarktplaats (another fun place). I decided I had enough blue turqs, so I sold this pair this past weekend. Now I am working with a pair of a Leopard Snakeskin Eruption male and a Flachen Snakeskin female. They finally got it right and have a bunch of young at their sides (yay)!
I have been a member of a large American Discus forum (Simply Discus) since 2004, but I really want to be part of a Dutch forum and have tried Discus Page Holland, but unfortunately there just isn't very many posts there.. Then I found this group. and here I am I really want to go to the Discus show in October.
I use Google Chrome as my browser and it automatically translates from Dutch to English for me so that I can read every post. So feel free to write any comments in Dutch.
